DEMAND RESPONSE

Door-to-door advance reservation service is provided throughout the county to those persons unable to access transit service because of a verifiable disability, environmental barrier, or distance from a route.

GOPASCO buses are designed to ensure persons with disabilities are provided equal access. Persons needing assistance may bring a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and pay the applicable bus fare. When calling to arrange your paratransit trip, please inform the operator that a PCA will be traveling with you so that we may better accommodate you.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION SERVICE

Reservations for paratransit are available:

  • Monday – Friday 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

PARATRANSIT SERVICE

Paratransit services include:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service
  • Contract service
  • Subscription service

Personal care attendants ride free on paratransit trips.

ON BOARD RULES

Paratransit rules:

  • The pickup window is between 15 minutes prior to 15 minutes after your scheduled time
  • Riders cannot change destination with the driver
    • Please coordinate changes with the reservation center only
  • There is a limit of three standard sized shopping bags per person
  • Seat belts must be used by all passengers

FARES

Depending on the program you may be enrolled in, paratransit fares range from $0 to $3.

PARATRANSIT REGISTRATION

Call the GOPASCO information line at (727) 834-3322 and a representative will determine your eligibility for subsidized rides. Eligibility is determined through an application process, which begins with the representative’s phone survey and may require you to complete a written application. You may also undergo an assessment to determine your ability to utilize transit service.
